The P21 Skills Videos are designed to illustrate how 21st century skills are being practiced and cultivated in classrooms and schools. Schools were recommended by members of the Partnership for 21st Century Skills because of the ways they put into action the key precepts of the P21 framework. Click on image to play video. 	School and Project	Description and Analysis
	Napa New Technology Highschool, Napa California Monkey Trial Project, Fall 2008 - Overview An overview of the Monkey Trial Project. Narrated by Stephen Federico and Rebecca Pollack.	During this project, students used the structure of a school board meeting to argue whether intelligent design should be part of the Napa Schools curriculum. Working in groups, students assumed the roles of attorneys,, witnesses, and experts and argued their cases before a judge and audience.
	Napa New Tech High, Napa California Monkey Trial Project, Fall 2008 - Skills Analysis A skill-by-skill analysis of the project. Commentary by teachers Stephen Federico and Rebecca Pollack.	This project demonstrates the skills of collaboration, critical thinking, and leadership. Teachers Stephen Federico and Rebecca Pollack identify the key steps required to complete the project including working collaboratively with team members, constructing arguments to defend difficult positions, and a final presentation to an audience.
	Metropolitan Arts and Technology High School San Francisco CA California Propositions Public Service Announcements Fall 2008 - Overview An overview of the PSA project. Commentary by teacher Justin Wells.	In this project students explored the role of media in shaping public opinion. The project took place during the 2008 Fall elections; students produced public service announcements about the California propositions that were on the ballot. The final PSAs were shown to an audience of registered voters whom they wanted to persuade.

	Napa New Tech High, Napa California Assessment - Winter 2009 Shows how assessment is used during a project as a way to provide a constant loop of feedback to students. Rebecca Pollack comments.	Teachers and administrators discuss the central role that assessment plays in project-based learning. Student performance is measured against a wide range of criteria - how well they collaborated, did they complete assignments, did they display leadership skills - in order to more full assess their perforrmance during a project.
	HIgh Tech High, San Diego California The Culture of 21st Century Skills Shows how a school culture is key to cultivating and supporting 21st Century Skills.	At High Tech High, using 21st century skills is fundamental to everything that happens there. Students of all levels of academic aptitude work with their heads and hands, and make direct and meaningful contact with the outside world through their work.
	Catalina Hills High School, Tucson AZ Making Learning Relevant - The Hydrology Project Veteren teacherFrank Draper makes learning relevant by putting science in the context of the geography of Arizona.	Students work in groups at various workstations and in the field to explore changes to the environment they live in. Unit-long projects include in class work, several field trips, and an analysis of the environment in which they live and that directly affects their lives.
